FeSi is an alloy of iron and silicon with a very variable silicon content between 10% and 90%. It is mainly used in the steel and cast iron production process and foundry industries. Ferrosilicon is used as a deoxidizer in the steelmaking process. It is also used as the source of silicon in the electric power industry. It can be used to produce graphite electrodes. Another use of this product is in producing other ferroalloys.
